Supriya opened Revive Studio after a decade of watching clients choose between two bad options: a salon with good machines and harsh formulations, or a herbal parlour with kind ingredients and no craft.
She trained on Korean skin technology, then spent two years working with Ayurvedic practitioners to build treatments that hold up to the same standard — measurable results, nothing on the ingredient list you would not eat.
She still takes the first consultation for every bridal client herself.
We will tell you no
The consultation exists to find the right treatment, not to sell you the one you walked in asking for. If a facial will not shift what is bothering you, we would rather say so at the door than three appointments in — and sometimes the honest answer is that it is not ours to fix.
The ingredient list is on the wall
Every botanical ritual has its full list written up where you can read it before you sit down. If you would rather hear it than read it, ask. No parabens, no synthetic fragrance, no PPD, no ammonia and no metallic salts in the henna.
The skin reading costs nothing
Every first visit starts with a proper look at your skin, hair or nails, and it commits you to nothing. It is the only way we can tell you which half of the studio you actually need, and it is free whether you book anything or not.
What the Korean side is for
Hydra-infusion, radio frequency, microcurrent and LED do work that hands cannot — congestion, laxity, pigment, texture. This is the half of the studio to book when you want something measured rather than soothed.
Korean formulations are built at lower irritation thresholds than most Western equivalents, which is why a stronger protocol can run on sensitive skin without a reaction.
The treatment menuWhat the botanical side is for
Ubtan, kumkumadi, bhringraj oiling, herbal henna and body work. Powders are bought whole and ground here for your appointment, so a paste can be built around whatever your skin will not tolerate.
It is slower and it is meant to be. These are the treatments for dullness, tone, scalp and the sort of tiredness that a machine cannot reach.
The ritual listMost of the skill is knowing which of the two you need — and, when it is both, which one comes first.
Herbs after resurfacing will sting. Oil before a hydra facial defeats the point of the facial. Sequencing the two properly is the reason the reading comes before the booking rather than after it.
Pale wood, tall mirrors and as much daylight as the building will give us. Nothing is lit to flatter — if a colour or a finish only looks right under a tinted lamp, you would find that out at home rather than here.
Nothing is mixed or decanted out of sight either. If you want to see the tub a product came out of, or the list a paste was ground from, ask and we will bring it over to the chair.
If yours is not here, phone and ask. We will give you the same answer on the telephone as we would in the chair, including when the answer is that you do not need the treatment.
For nails, colour, smoothening and anything bridal, yes — those need a chair blocked out and sometimes a patch test. Threading, waxing and a blow-dry we can usually take as a walk-in, but call ahead and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth the trip.
